This guide walks you through the fastest path to a working AI agent: create it, give it a voice, and place your first call. Each step links to a deeper guide if you want more detail.

Before you start

You’ll need a 8call account and access to an organization (you’re an owner or admin). If you were invited as a member, ask an admin for access — see Invite and manage members.

Step 1: Create an agent

Open the agents page

Go to /agents and click Create agent.

Set the essentials

Give it a name, choose languages and a timezone, write a greeting, and pick a voice. When the status bar reads All required fields are set, click Create agent.
Your agent appears in the sidebar and on the /agents list.

Step 3: Put your agent to work

Add it to your website

Customize the website widget and paste the embed snippet into your site so visitors can call your agent.

Or place an outbound call

Prefer to reach out first? Schedule an outbound call and the agent will dial automatically.

Step 4: Review the results

After a call, open /calls to listen to the recording, read the transcript and summary, and see any data your agent captured. See Review your calls.
